Snow in London
Apr. 6th, 2008 01:41 pmWhen it snows in London, everyone converges on Parliament Hill. Tim and I grabbed a tea-tray that the last people in his flat had left behind, and headed out to the Heath, snowball-fighting all the way. All the blossom which has come out already was weighed down with fluffy white snow.
The tea-tray was not a success. The best I managed was a few inches, and then rolled down the rest of the hill to land in a nettle patch. However, I made a snow angel, and we made a big snowman almost as tall as we were. Tim also tried, at my insistence, to encase me in snow and make me into a live snowman, but that didn't work so well, and left me soaking and freezing.
Altogether, a great morning playing in the snow. It is thawing now.
