In the now
Feb. 27th, 2008 11:00 pmI must learn to live in the present moment. I realised today that I spend too much time contemplating the past and reliving old memories, and too much time dreaming, worrying and planning for the future. Memories and dreams are precious, but life can slip away unnoticed while I polish them.
The image my mind keeps dredging up is the fuzzy cloud of a single electron orbiting a proton in a hydrogen atom. My time focus is a gaussian probability curve rather than a delta function.
I will try to live in the now, and to cast my nets widely to catch all the fish that life offers me.
